My husband Frank and I live in the countryside about 8 km from Gent in Flanders (Belgium). We were married in 1967 and bought our first dog when we came back from our honeymoon.
We purchased our first Samoyed “Saskia vom Beverenkant” in 1994. Two years later we bought a second Samoyed, “Xtrasmart vom Beverenkant”. Smartie was very successful at dogshows and gained many champion titles. She was a Belgian, German, Austrian, Dutch and International champion and won also the title of Austrian Double Champ, a title a dog achieved by winning both, the international Dogshow in Graz and the international Dogshow in Innsbruck during the same year. Later she also became Austrian Veteran Champion.
Our Saskia who wasn’t so keen of dog shows, won the title of Belgian Champion and Austrian Veteran Champion.
Saskia died at the age of 13 ½ years and Smartie left us at the age of 14 years and 3 months.
In 2004 Multi Champion ( Belgian, Austrian, International and German Ch.) Discos Sophie Dancer from Denmark joined our family. In 2007 Sophie gave birth to her first litter. The father of this litter was the famous MultiCh.” Thundery Thysonn de Sanna Gourska” who lives in the south of France. Out of this litter we kept our beloved Graham who in the meantime won many titles at shows. He is a Belgian, Dutch, International, Austrian, German VDH and German DCNH Champion and the father of two wonderful litters with Ch. Enigmatic Baby de Sanna Gourska (Austrian Champion).
Sophie had two more litters before we stopped breeding with her. She got a second litter again with Thysonn and her third litter with Discos Heartbreaker from Denmark.
From the first litter of Enigmatic Baby de Sanna Gourska and Graham The Twinkling Star, we kept a puppy, “Jinglebell The Twinkling Star “ who gave birth to 6 puppies in 2013. The father of this litter was MultiCh. And Reserve winner at Crufts “Nikara Mr. Ree”.
Besides breeding from time to time our dogs are in the first place family members and they live with us in the house and garden. All our puppies are bred in the house so that they are completely socialized by the time they leave to join their new families.
All our dogs, which are registered at our Belgian national kennel club( KMSH/FCI), are DNA checked, finished their socialization test successfully and are hips and eyes checked. The puppies are sold with a pedigree from our Belgian national kennel club.
